DMV

The DMV is now open and fully functional with the exception of CDL road tests and motorcycle road tests. In regards to CDL road testing, Skagway does not have the infrastructure compliant with DMV requirements. The DMV is allowing Skagway to administer road tests even though we still do not meet the infastructure requirements. What this means is there will be a restriction 8 on any CDL obtained through a Skagway road test. This means this particular CDL will only be valid in Skagway (and 14 other communities that are affected by this) and cannot be used to drive commercial vehicles in Canada.

Training for CDL road examiner is scheduled for April 2, 2024 through April 5, 2024.

Motorcycle road test training has NOT been scheduled yet.
